Dinosaur Arch Coloring Page
What's in the picture
Look at that huge dinosaur vertebra turned into an arch over a twilight lake. Inside the hollow you can see a glowing fossil egg, like a tiny lighthouse. Hanging above the water is a pterosaur wing, acting like a lantern, and along the shore jagged basalt pillars have been carved into triceratops horns. A little fern island floats nearby, its fronds reaching toward the arch. All the lines are clean, zentangle‑style patterns, so there’s plenty of space to add your own colors.
Fun facts
Did you know a real dinosaur’s backbone could be that massive? Some vertebrae were over a foot long. Pterosaurs weren’t dinosaurs, but they were close relatives that could glide for hours. Triceratops horns were actually part of a frill that helped them look bigger. And ferns are ancient plants that have been around since the time of the dinosaurs!
