Dinosaur Bridge Coloring Page
What’s in the Picture
Take a look at this cool line‑drawing: a massive dinosaur femur is stretched out like a natural bridge over a shimmering lagoon of ichor. On one side a giant fern frond shoots up, looking almost like a stone column. Hanging above the scene is a pterosaur skull that glows like a tiny moon, and near the shore a basalt pillar rocks the shape of a stegosaur’s back. Right on the femur bridge sits a crystal egg that gives off a soft, quiet light. The whole thing is packed with little sections and patterns that are perfect for kids to fill in with their favorite colors.
Fun Facts
Did you know a real sauropod femur could be as long as a small car? Pterosaur skulls were often lightweight, with big openings to keep the head from being too heavy for flight. Ferns are some of the oldest plants on Earth—some species have been around since the time of the dinosaurs! And basalt, the rock used for the stegosaur‑shaped pillar, forms when lava cools quickly, giving it that chunky, column‑like look.
